For nurseries, primary schools, and secondary levels I and II

In ANIMALIA, there is chirping, barking, grunting—and plenty of amazement! In front of chickens dressed in their Sunday best and protesting pigs, we explore how wild, humorous, and multifaceted images of animals can be. Sometimes dogs, cats, and mice behave almost like we do; at other times we transform into clever foxes or majestic tigers. We encounter mythical creatures, discover the world of insects, and venture ever deeper into the jungle of art. Yet our journey between instinct and identity also brings uncomfortable topics to light: animals contradict, protest, and make their voices heard. When do they become symbols—or a mouthpiece for political questions? Is the value of an animal universal, or culturally constructed? We discuss and change perspectives. Which animal stands for power? Which animal is tamed? Who determines power over whom? And above all: how much of you is reflected in the image of an animal?

Three age-appropriate programs are designed for nursery groups and students at the primary and secondary levels I and II. Hands-on elements and participatory methods stimulate independent thinking, sharpen perceptual skills, and invite holistic learning.

Have you ever wondered how imagination found its way into art? Join us on an adventure through the art of the last 100 years, where you’ll discover dancing brushstrokes, wild colors, and crazy ideas. How does Klimt make his paintings tremble? Why do faces and animals suddenly explode with color? What drives an artist to paint the seemingly impossible? Who was Andy Warhol? And what are cut-up pictures doing in a museum?

We’ll playfully dive into the fantastic world of big ideas, surprising art techniques, and world-famous masterpieces through exciting stories and creative experiments.

This workshop builds students’ confidence, sparks their curiosity, and improves their language skills in a positive and interactive atmosphere. Through sensory experiences and hands-on art activities, students are introduced to groundbreaking art movements of the 20th century. Perfect also for German language learners!

Doch vermitteln ihre visuellen Reize und Normen ein verzerrtes Bild von Schönheit, weit entfernt von der Realität. YOUareART bietet Jugendlichen eine Bühne für eigene Gedanken, Kreativität und konstruktive Kritik. Begleitet von Expert*innen aus Gesundheitsförderung und Kunstvermittlung erforschen Sie, wie digitale Filter unser Selbstbild und Wohlbefinden beeinflussen. Highlight ist eine AR-App, die Kunstwerke mit Beauty-Filtern „verschönert“, die Absurdität der „Optimierung“ entlarvt und zu konzentrierter Reflexion einlädt. Interaktive Stationen und Hands on-Elemente fördern dabei Selbstakzeptanz, Vielfalt und mentale Gesundheit. Sie trainieren die Medienkompetenz und ermutigen junge Menschen, ihre persönliche Originalität als Stärke zu feiern. Denn: Echte Schönheit braucht keine Filter!
